Wanted to share this amazing video of KM daggers being handed to KM Fanhriche at the Marine Kriegsschule Mürwik in 1943. WAF allows embedding of this type of code so the experience is better here
Taken from the 1943 Die Deutsche Wochenschau. Kriegsmarine officer candidates at the Mürwik naval warfare school are awarded their officer daggers. The candidates first attach the naval hangers to their belts and then attach the scabbard rings to the hanger clips, under close supervision. Unlike their Kriegsmarine counterparts, Heer officer candidates had to obtain their own daggers, for example, at bthe various Heereskleiderkasse outlets. The film goes on to show various aspects of the training of these officer candidates, in the classroom and at sea.
