Has anyone noticed that there are metric tons of these things on the market right now? What gives?

Etched bayonets look like they're poised to be "the next big thing" - prices are escalating and that usually has two effects:
(1.) A lot of people who have etched bayonets see this as an opportunity to 'cash in', especially if they can sell off duplicates or extras at a premium.
(2.) Unfortunately, the higher prices also draw reproductions into them market. The more money the fakes bring, the more money those who make them can afford to spend improving the quality and details.
That's what I see from my little corner of the world!
