I know most of you don't like the earliest and most rare of production daggers, but I recently found this Imperial Fire Official's Dirk (See Johnson and Wittmann Colect. Edged Weap. of Imperial Germany Vol 1. page 223) in Canada and thought it looked great next to the rare Luftwaffe Dirk.
It was apparently always made by WKC. This Fire Dirk with the gilted brass was more rare and thought to be worn by senior officials.
The more rare the more interesting to me. The Luft dirk is just one of the absolute rarest and although not flashy like an SS Dagger, it was THERE on day ONE of the Luftwaffe.
