    dagger makers

Where can i get a list of dagger makers which tell you what ones are the rarest please. I have got a list of all the makers and their markings, but it doesn't tell you which ones were the rarest makers on which particular daggers.

    many thanks in advance,
    regards,
    belinda

GD sells an SA list referred to as the Mcsarr. Most won't share it for free. The expectation is that the creators be compensated for it. Beside the SA list, i'm not really aware of any other lists that specifically categorize the various models by makers, and so on.

If you were looking for rarity of HJ knives, this might help you.
Although its not an rarity level, it should give you an idea of "whats out there" and "what members get the most"

The MCSARR list on GD costs $10 (from memory?), it was compiled by Mike McAlvanah & the proceeds are donated to GD's management to defray operating costs, Mike is not affiliated with GD's management except that he is the mod of the SA forum. If it helps you snag one rare dagger, it's paid for itself in spades.

There are several other lists compiled by other members for several other types of daggers (SS, Heer, Luft I, Luft II, possibly more). The members (some of whom are members here as well) are proprietary about their work in general but I'm sure can be contacted to see what can be done for you.

You can also pick up a copy of Fisher's reference guide which lists most blade manufacturers & in general, which makers made which daggers/bayonets. The list is by no means complete & is frequently being contributed to & updated. It's worth the money IMO as there is a ton of other info contained in it. Hope this helps.

Here´s a great list for SA daggers, which is based on the McSarr list. Very recommendable!
