Question on All Ground Rohm SA's & SS's

I did a little search before I put this question out there.
Would anyone care to hazard a guess on how many Rohm SS daggers there should be out there? Since the SS was a smaller organization, at that time, the answer might be possible of achievement. Also, by maker???

The SA was already a massive organization by this time (hence, the Wehrmacht's fear and Hitler's need to please these gentlemen by eliminating irritating leadership), but if someone feels that they can put a number to the number of SA Rohm daggers issued, I certainly shan't argue with them. Also, if possible, by maker. Maybe someone has documentation on the approximate number made & issued by Eichkorn, Boker, Herder, etc.

I see many Ground Rohm's out there, both SS & SA. I am not disparaging anyone's dagger. As a matter of fact, I believe I have an M33 SS Ground Rohm, by Boker, myself.

If the issue has already come up and been discussed to death, please forgive my laxness in missing the subject in my search.
    Thanx,
    Tim

According to a source that I have read, at least 200,000 honorary Rohm inscribed daggers were issued. That total includes the SA, NSKK and the SS. There is no breakdown of how many went to each organization, and no information on the makers. My guess is that 10-15,000 went to the SS and the rest to the SA and NSKK.

That information is old and is considered to be inaccurate in light of the recent information revealed by OSAF documents in work commissioned of Dr. phil. Martin Schuster for research on Gruppe Nordmark. Here is an exerpt:

All the time dispatch of daggers proceeded. By the beginning of May two thirds of honorary daggers had been issued and the second instalment of regular daggers could be dispatched, among them 6,350 pieces to Gruppe Nordmark.41 One month later all honorary daggers had finally been sent to the Gruppen (all in all c. 200,000 pieces)42 and it was announced that the third instalment of regular daggers would now be sent out (8,500 pieces for Gruppe Nordmark).43 Within five months all receivers of hononary daggers, but a rather small portion of regular members were supplied with daggers (22,670 of 107,000, or one fifth, in Gruppe Nordmark); all in all a rather modest result.

        42. OSAF V No. 14072/1694, 16 Jun 1934, re Dolch, BA NS23/550

As a result of this work it is a reasonable assumption that the number of SS Rohm daggers also exceeded the old accepted number of 9,900

I feel the logistics of that in such a short amount of time seems improbable of this number actually being awarded, manufactured or what ever; but none the less the initial order was quite large, but what actually was delivered is quite spectulative very much the same as with the Himmler daggers.
