ouch on those munched rivets, poor old Heniz he'd be turning in his grave if he even existed, send it back! As i always say you can never have too many photos of these knifes, things can be so easily overlooked concentrating on the personalisation that time lol whereas in the hand you could assess it easily in seconds...

good luck with the return of it!

Thanks guys for the help on this one. I really appreciate it.

My fault for not taking better pics to share here. I tried to get away with buying something without doing the proper research FIRST. This forum and the guys like you who help guys like me are an invaluable tool. But this is just another lesson that there is just no substitute for proper research and library building.

Damn! I really liked that blade.

        Best,
        Blair

            Hi Guys!
I did sell this HJ to Blair and from what you have shown I tend to agree there are problems with this knife. And as should be I will naturally give Blair a full refund.
I must say I do not appreciate the comment by Jimmy implying that I am trying to take advantage of Blair. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I run a very honest business and have well under a 1% return rate. I am a dealer because I love my hobby and am not in a position I need to take advantage of people. No dealer or collector knows everything about WWII antiques although I have studied them in detail for close to 30 years. Please in the future aim your criticisms with a little more accuracy.
            Best Wishes,
            Bob

                Hello Blair,

If ever you buy another HJ-knife, first thing to look at are the rivets, if they have been messed with (like your pictures showed), but it back immediately.

GDC has a forum dedicated to this knifes where you can find plenty of information and pictures to check before buying.
