No worries on this one, IMO.
Seems like the blade was polished (correct me if im wrong)
Maybe it was a late example with RZM only, but it was buffered off.

BIRDIE YOUR UNMARKED HJ KNIFE LOOKS GENUINE ENOUGH TO ME ....THE BLADE HAS BEEN SHARPENED UP AT SOME POINT LEAVING THOSE SCRATCH MARKS INTO THE BLADE BUT ITS NOT TOO BAD THOUGH........CHEERS SCOTT.

Well then, as Scott says, its an unmarked example. A nice piece

Can you lie it side by side with an another example for comparison in shape and size?

Could be the first photo angle, but the blade seems slightly off from the lozenge shape. Just checking to see if it's possible it was reshaped many years ago from damage and in the process the motto buffed out.

Jeff, i see what you mean. Have you thought also in the possibility that it lost its shape due to sharpening? It has happened many times and many HJs were over-sharpened by the kids, therefore they lost their shape. Mike calls them "well loved"
