    HJ Knife Good or Fake

A friend just picked up this RZM M7/62 Hitler Jugend knife. I'm no expert but it looks like other I've seen and looked at other post on the forum. Can the members please help in giving your opinions of this piece?

    Thanks!

I think it looks fine but is there any chance for getting more photos showing the diamond at a closer zoom? Just to make sure..

Maker is Friedrich Plucker Jr, Solingen-Grafrath, looks good from the photos, unusual place for the date... i like it, shame its lost all the plating. i

last thing to worry about are the rivets, cant tell from the pics but they look ok it seems a nice piece, is there a scabbard?

Looks fine to me from the pics provided - zinc hilt which often didn't hold the plating too well.

              Regards

                      Now thats interesting!
Its a huge space between the bakerlight and diamond...
Im hesitating now. I have no explanation for this. Does anyone? I havent found any photo of a M7/62, and when searching through the Russ Neighbors/Lance Neighbors listing i didnt find a late M7/62, just transitional.
                      Post war grip?
                      Im not sure.
Could we see a photo of the grip of the reverse?

I'm with Santiago on this, maybe everyone was too quick.
I'd be wary of the straight edged & large cut out around the diamond & the grip rivets shown look different to each other?
I'm not writing off the whole knife, someone with more experience could come in here.

Hi FOLKS WELL NOW I NEVER SEEN THIS IN THE FIRST PIX THAT WERE POSTED OF THIS HJ KNIFE BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT CLOSE ENOUGH TO SPOT THIS DAIMOND IS SMALLER THAN THE DAIMOND CUT OUT ON THE GRIP SO IT LOOKS AS IF THE DAIMOND HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A SMALLER ONE AT SOME POINT. THE REPLACEMENT IS GENUINE ENOUGH BUT IS IT GLUED INTO PLACE LW32????........CHEERS SCOTT.

i still reckon its a good one just likely diamond has been replaced, rivets dont seem to have been tampered with... a glued in job as suggested.

or its the vicious shrinking diamond of 1940

                              Interesting opinions...
Replaced diamond is also an interesting theory. I still would like to see a reverse grips photo. If the grips dont seemed alterated, then the diamond was post war glued. (That doesnt mean its isnt original. It is a good one as said.)
