Real or fake?

I have a chance at getting a knife and want to know your opinion on it's authenticity.

The markings are RZM M 7/66
Looks like the maker is Eickhorn Solingen *Squirrel w/ a sword maybe is the logo?

The blade also has the Blut und Ehre on it.

The knife seems in good condition. My main concern is that I have seen the youth knives without the blut and ehre on it, some with. I am not sure which models had that and if this model is real.

Sounds like it should be fine, but you should post some pics if you can get some - in general, there are a lot of fake HJ knives around.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you like it here and find it helpful.
You should really get a photo of the knife. A photo speaks a 1000 words.
There is no way to determine a original or fake knife just by a written description.
Yours sounds like it is a transitional period example, due to that it has the marker's mark, RZM and the motto.

Thanks for the replies! I will try to get a photo from him and post soon. That article was very helpful. From memory i think it met all of the criteria mentioned. Maybe will have a photo by friday.
