    Service of the Reich

Heres a couple daggers that could probably tell some secrets under the topic"If daggers could talk" - Diplomat dagger on the right with hangers and the small knot and the Government Official dagger on the left with the hanger and a 3/4 size knot. Dagger makers are Alcoso and Eickhorn respectively. These daggers are impressive to see and hold.

These are a couple of my favorites, thanks for sharing. As you say, what a shame they can't talk.

"Impressive to see an hold" you couldn't say it any better. I had the luck to hold one from a fellow collector. It speaks so much more when you can have such things in your own hands instead of looking at a picture.

It's great that you have both makers of these daggers!

Those daggers are IMO one of the most beautiful daggers in the Reich. I first heard about them not so long ago and loved them.

How do you recognize which one is a diplomat dagger and which one is a government official dagger? Could you post close ups? Would love to see better pics.
And..last question...how rare are they? How much could these go for these days?

The direction the crossguard eagle is facing basically determines whether it is G.O. or Diplomatic.
