Hi guys,

Here is another of my daggers. I hope you like it. I'm partial to hangers as well and try to find different types to display. This set, with it's unusual clips, is a type that I had not seen before. They are in good shape with little wear, other than to the high points, where I see what I think is brass showing through. Thanks goes to Paul Hogle once again for helping me locate these.

Is there a reference/website that shows the variations of hangers?

I have one on an army dagger that looks odd too.

Hello helmetbuyers,

I'm not aware of any one reference. I learned of the different ones by scanning dealer sites and doing searches here on WAF.

Please feel free to add a picture of your unusual set to this thread if you wish. Maybe we will both learn more about them.

Hello,

Tom Wittmann's book on Army daggers shows many of the hanger variations in Chapter 14 (pages 213-222). Stu, I really like those early brass hangers like you have with the lower clip variation. I have a few of them myself. They aren't easy to find either.
