1st Luft. dagger by Paul Seilheimer

    Hello guys,

Had an opportunity recently to upgrade my 1st Luft. With the assistance of Paul Hogle here is what I now have. Sorry about the glare. Have a heck of a time dealing with that on these shiny blades.

    4 photos to follow.

    Regards to all,
    Stu

            Thanks

            Hi JR.,

Thanks very much for your comment. It is indeed a beauty and not one often seen. Leather all intact and almost all of the silver wash still present between the swastika legs. These early nickel pieces hold up well over time. I've picked up a few other nice daggers from Paul over the last year and plan to post pictures of them over the next few days.

            Regards,
            Stu

Stu...that a dagger. Did they ever have a Seilheimer 1st Luft in the "dog" logo? Congrats!

                Hi,

Stunning piece! I have the aluminium version (Höller) in stone mint condition but that's an easy find compared to a great preserved early one.

                Regards, Theo

And deceptively hard to find today. For a dagger considered 'common', I see very few of the early, nickel/silver 1st Lufts.

                      Stu,

                      Excellent!

You did very well for yourself with this one. Rare maker and condition to boot. Can't ask for much more.
