SA dagger

Hi,
I just bought this dagger, is in very good condition. unfortunately eagle + enamel emblem are missing...

Do you have any idea where to get the missing parts to make it complete??

Finnally got the parts and was able to complete the dagger.

Looks like an amazing SA dagger! Great crossgrain and motto. One thing I wanted to ask you. Are you sure an aluminium eagle is correct? Maybe a nickel silver eagle would be more suitable? Maybe some other collector will be able to say something else about this.

I think an aluminum eagle is perfect for a later RZM dagger. I see noting wrong with this. Aluminum eagles were used more in the the later time period, this (I think) it is a better bet than a niclke silver one.
The only way to be sure would be to find out who the maker is and look at other late RZM pieces by THAT company. Some used nickel eagles all the way through the RZM late period, others switched to aluminum early on. If you can find other RZM pieces by that maker, you would know for sure which eagle is "correct".
To be honest with you, I would not even bother, the aluminum eagle is almost certainly OK in my opinion.
OH, and you have a VERY rare RZM maker mark version on this dagger. You should know that this "side by side" design of the RZM code was very rarely used. NICE rare variation here!
By the way, WELL DONE on fixing up a dagger that really deserved it! You have sone a credit to the hobby!

Thanks all for opinions,

First I thought I should use the nickel eagle, as this combination is also on my other RZM marked dagger ( RZM M7/67/38. )
But then I consultated it with Paul Hogle and he wrote me: "Absolutely aluminum is the only correct one for your dagger"

So I used Assmanns aluminium eagle, the hanger metal part is also Assmann marked. so I hope I did it correct.......
