    SA dagger conservation & display

    Hello!

I own a RZM SA dagger in pretty nice condition. I'm looking for a dagger case and conservation services (application of Renaissance Wax, semichrome, rustfree...).

    Anyone can suggest one?

    Thanks!

MR. Greenwade makes the best cases for daggers. Solid wood and glass.

If you want a case for any kind of dagger he can make you one special. The top comes off and glass is on both sides so you can see it fronmt and back. He can also make a big display cases like he did for Mr. Lipps that can hold a bunch of medals and visors and blades better than a jeweler display for rings and watches in a store.

I wish I had a link... they are too cool

THEy are awesome. Better still PM him he is a moderator.

Don't be shy about cleaning and preserving the dagger yourself. Be careful with the Semichrome avoiding the motto. In fact, if it can be avoided, i'd stay away from the blade as Semichrome will remove the crossgraining.

The Renwax is as easy as lightly applying a coat to the entire dagger; fittings, wooden grip, blade, scabbard, etc. Then gently wipe it off.

Regarding display cases, a number of members here make them. I've seen some on eBay for around $30. Heck, you could probably buy a wooden/glass box at Michaels Crafts and build one yourself.
