    Opinions Repro HJ Dagger??

I believe this is a reproduction but have been unable to find anything similar. Has anyone seen a repro like this, and if so, any idea when they were made and a possible value?
    Thanks!

          An obvious fake.

The first and most telling clue is the word "Germany" under the maker mark. As if that weren't enough, the motto is a troubling etch pattern in that it's not the script writing we're used to seeing. Lastly, I don't like the grip insignia.

            Skip,
Thanks for the info. I knew it was a repro but when I tried to find other repros like it I`ve been unsuccessful. All the others had script writting like you mentioned.
PS. Would anyone consider this a good fake?

It's absolutly not a good fake. Like Mr Greenwade said: The using of the word "Germany" is a real give away and the motto is also totally different. Originals were always done in a copy of Von Schirach handwritting.

Since it appears to have not been manufactured with the intent to be passed off as an original, it's not a good reproduction. The "good" reproductions run about $50 at most shows. I'm not exactly sure where this would fall on the "desirability" scale.

Thanks for all the input . I picked this up with a number of other bayonets and never saw a fake like this before.

Well Chris, like others said, a bad fake.
Germany written anywhere in the knife is a common way to know if it is a fake.
And the diamond...it looks that it has been painted with a red color and no fishcale pattern below it.

Here is a good website with an HJ lesson to tell right away the most common fake knifes
