JWH 44 K98 Bayonet

Ive recently picked up an odd coded bayonet at a show the code is jwh w/ 44 on back of the blade, very rough un polished finish, the first Ive' seen thats this rough. Cond. overall V-G plus . Can't find reference up to date about rarity etc. any knowledge of this type out there?? thanks /advance

jwh code= Waffenfabrik Chatellerault...France Dated 1944.. A hard bayonet to find matching and in excellent condition...BILL

This bayonet should be with wood grips.
