Who told you the handle is army?
The handle is Luft, dagger looks good.
Never seen the inscription before, thats up to the more knowledgable dagger guys.
              Regards,
              Gary

Yeah, that's a 2nd luft style grip alright.
Don't know about that blade mark though.

This luft is similar to the Post war maker discussing on the other forum..

i agree with the others on the luft grip. not even close to the army style, so some one was way off. if it is marked with the black cross and BA BA in the cross, it will also be marked germany. there were put together after the war. some original parts some made after the war. SA daggers have the same markings, and were assembled from old stock untill it ran out, then they made new stuff. the grips on the SA's were made from plastic after the wood ones ran out. i have seen a few of these over the years.

                      Dagger

Thanks guys, the army grip thing was an error, wrong dagger. As for the thread on post war daggers, this dagger did have a leather scabbard. This dagger came from the son of a World War II Vet, he brought this home after he was stationed in Occupied Berlin and gave it to his son.. I guess everyone needed something to bring home.
                      Thanks, Richard
