    WKC still in business

I'm sure most of you probably already knew this, but I (newbie) was thrilled to see that WKC is still in business. Their website is really interesting. They still make Lions Head swords, commerative swords for Bundeswher, a copy of the Imperial Naval dagger (evidently made on original dies) and swords for American, British, and French military. It was good for me to see one of the original old line companies still in business. Evidently, they bought a lot of Wilkensons equipment when they went out of business.

Yeah, I stumbled across the site earlier on last month.

There's also a section for care and maintenance:

WKC had a booth at the Shot Show this past January. I was able to examine their "commemorative" navy dagger. With a replacement pomel, these will be very difficult to spot 20 years from now. Since the Forestry Cutlass never had a Swastika they are manufacturing these as well. With the exception of the knot being an obvious reproduction, these are going to be tough down the road as well. Interestingly enough, Jorg Eickhorn was at their booth attempting to resurrect the Eickhorn brand. Apparently he's a relative of the original Eickhhorn's and is using the WWII Eickhorn logo on his swords. To me it just looks like more long term grief for collectors.

Not quite like the WKC site but Eickhorn is still available on the net:
