I have this WW1 German bayonet with the spine marked with a crowm and W 17. The grips are walnut wood. The blade is 9 3/4 inches long with no corrosion and marked as shown. The top of the spine is a saw back type. What model is this? Is it a cut down model? What value does it have?

WW 1 German Bayonet
Wade,
Your bayonet is a Turkish cutdown German Model 98/05 n/A. The Turks recieved some of these bayonets in 1917 [both plain and sawback versions] and they all seem to be made by Waffenfabrik Mauser. They are fairly common and not worth much and can be easily found on ebay and other sites.
