                      My K98 Bayonets...

                      First one...

                      Bayonet - Bakelite grips, serial no. 1218 n (I think it's an 'n'?), cvl 41.
Scabbard - Gerb Heller 1937, serial no. 9928 (can't quite see the letter enough to read it with the frog on).
Frog - Carl Ackca, Bad Kreuznach, 1940

                      Second...

Bayonet - Wooden grips, serial no. 2458, cof 44. Seen better days, grips a bit rough and the pommel, crossguard etc is pitted though the blade is pretty good.
                      Scabbard - Serial no. 1389 l, 44ffc.

Then, there is this one which I have no idea about...

It fits onto a K98, it's made by Horster and it's nice and shiny! I presume it's a parade bayonet of some sort? Blade is 8" long, scabbard is leather with metal bits and it has no marking or numbers other than the makes mark. I presume it's probably a commercially produced one? Is it war time or pre war? For the Germans or for another country? Anyone fill me in on the details?

Finally...there is this one...it's a right rough old thing, looks like it's been converted into a knife at some time - fighting knife? Both edges of the blade have been sharpened at some point. I dont know when it was done but it was a long time ago because it had been sitting untouched for a lot of years when I got it. It's very similar to the one about except the fuller runs down the middle of the blade and the blade is just over 8" so is slightly longer and i presume that it would of been a bit longer still before it was sharpened? Grips on one side are broken and it has a strange badge type thing attached - which looks either original or has been there for a long time. There is no lockinging bit at the top either the 'stud' is just for show - probably just to make the eagles head look like it has an eye? Also there is no scabbard with this one.
Someone told me it would be WW1/Imperial German? So any ideas on this one?

Nice bayonets have You there, the first 98k is nice 41cvl, series n? could You attacha detailed photo please? The maker of frog is Ackva. The other 98k is nice late war, the serial number on scabbard is 1389b, last piece is probably a SG fuer NCO or Officers from WW1. Ps the leather scabbard is probably from the older piece and not from WW2 period.best regards,Andy
