Miniature HJ and Luft daggers

A guy I trade with has offered me two miniature daggers for trade. One is a miniature Hitler leader's dagger he bought from a picker. The top was missing for a while and then the picker found it -- under the cap there was some rust but ???. The other one is an orange handled Luft dagger he got off E-bay. It is maker marked and has some writing on the blade but I can't remember what it is.

Are the HJ leader's daggers widely faked? (probably a dumb question) Is there any specific thing I should watch for when examining these daggers?

Unfortunately I can't answer to whether these are widely faked as I've never seen one. The only refercence book I have on HJ Leader miniatures says that the pommel should have an enamel swastika and the blade is usually artificial Damascus. That's about all the information I have. Good luck as these are extreamly rare.

Thanks Larry -- This one looks just like the regular leader's dagger. Wire wrapped handle, no enamel, regular blade with blut und eher on the blade.
