Something about the overall new look would make me very nervous.

Too good to be true, then it is. I agree with Larry.

Besides, there is some not original yellow crap where the swastika belongs... hee

I do not understand.the sword has swastikas, but in germany it is forbidden to show.

I am sorry for the confusion Sturm. It is my dry humour, and no offense was meant. It is normal, not only in Germany to block the swastika.

As towards it being "authentic" I am no where near as professional as other veteran forum members like Larry. I am just cynical due to the number of fakes I have seen, specifically on etched edged weapons.

Thank you for showing the link.

Any 1st Model Luftwaffe dagger with an etched blade shoud 1.) be viewed with extreme suspicion, 2.) should only be purchased from a reputable dealer with an iron-clad guarantee and 3.) will be virtually impossible to re-sell when the time comes.

There are simply many better pieces into which to put your money.

              Hi,

This looks like an aluminium made sword. They could be find in a very mint condition because aluminium don't patined. So the sword could be real but like often happens the ets-work could be applied at any time in the (near) past.

              Regards, Theo
