    Fighting knife

Just came accross this fighting knife, would appreciate any comments from those who know. It has some age to it , but there are no markings whatsoever on it. Blade is approx 7 inches long. Sorry about second pic, batteries went after this out of focus shot, but it gives an impression of the rest of knife. Thanks.

        Knife

This is a nice fighting knife and a rare scabbard. Most scabbards have a leather strap instead of the three prong type. Is there any marks on it?

No markings at all, but I think the style fits a 1936 onwards style I saw in a book ??

I think these were ww2 german boot knives. I have seen them variously described but I will have to check the books for an exact description. What does anyone else think?

Is the scabbard of the first knife (Richard) painted or blued ?
It seems blued, not a good sign IMO.
Take a look at the rivits of Richard scabbard and after look at Dave's .
                Regards,
                Martin.
