Hitler Youth Knife - Opinions, Please

    Hi All -

HJ items are not my cup of tea. Any opinions on this knife appreciated. It is marked RZM M7/2 1937.

As always, thanks for any and all help.

The photos are somewhat fuzzy but based on what I see I wouldn't want it in my collection. The motto looks strange and there appears to be glue under where the HJ insignia would have been. Original insignia were not glued in.

Not only that, why aren't you at Kyle Field?

          Hi Don,

We discuss in this thread an HJ Dagger same like yours!!! My dagger has the insignia glued too.

I am a Husker fan, Larry! Picked it up at the HGC Show at the Reliant today with a few other baubles - I missed Skipper and you there!

7/2 is emil voos,on this dagger if it was real the maker stamping would be on the other side of the blade from the motto, and not on the ricasso. If it was a rzm only marking it would not have a motto being after 38 if it was before it would not have a RZM.If it was a transitional it would have both Maker and Rzm.So clearly a repo.Hope you didnt pay much for it.

On the plus side - these make a pretty good hunting knife when sharpened.

Jason, I prefer to think of it as a $5 letter opener!
