    Need Help!!!!

    Hi Guys,
    what to you think of this maker mark(besides its on the wrong side) and the eagle……<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

    Looks to be okay from what I can see. A photo of the full TM would be helpful, though.

    Yours is an easy problem to fix...just unscrew the pommel and turn the blade around.

      yes i would turn it round but its not my yet, its been offered to me and only have 2 pics, but I have some doubts on it…<o></o>

        Why doubts?

        It looks to be a decent earlier Alcoso army. Circa 1938-39.

        The trade mark is not necessarily backwards. Some makers, at various times and for unknown reasons, did assemble daggers with the trade mark on the obverse of the dagger.

        Becareful if you decide to reassemble the dagger with the tm to the reverse. Early daggers often had more hand fitting than later made ones. You may find that it only fits together properly the way it is.

          Alcoso had five different logo's and four crossgard variations during their production time of army daggers. The logo is the second one in line and the eagle is their third pattern. This pattern is the most common to find. (1937 to about 1940). Nice dagger!.
