SA Full Rohm Help Please.

Hi all,

I have the opportunity to potentially purchase an SA with a full Rohm inscription. I haven't actually seen it yet but it was offered to me in a quick pjone call this afternoon. The details I got were that it was made by Pack and that there was very little blade wear. No rust or pitting anywhere. What I would liek to know is what is a dagger like this worth? I haven't been able to find one anywhere for sale nor have I found any reference to price. I know that the info I have is very limited but any info would be a huge help. I will attempt to get photos of this piece to post for further information before taking the plunge.

With these selling in the $4K - $5K range, I would suggest caution. Photos would help but, as a rule and IMHO, a full Rohm is not a dagger I would buy without handling. Just too many subtleties.

Skip is right on! When buying one of these consider getting it authenticated by someone who knows and is respected in the collecting community. Will make your life a whole lot simpler when you go to sell. Helps you sleep well too.
One last comment. Rohms are very well faked and the best fakes among them are the Packs. Some collectors will steer clear of a Pack Rohm for this very reason. Good Luck with it.

Pack fake inscriptions are out there, quite well-done so caution is advised.

Must be nice to have folks calling one up and offering up their militaria. I have to hunt.

Saw it today and it sure looks good to me. It has everything that one would expect from a piece such as this.
