    Eickhorn hj knife

Hi guys. I need to double check this hj knife with you. All look good, diamond has slight movement. Logo and rzm code stamped, as it should. The only thing that makes me write this post is crossgraining on the blade. Can't find any 1941 Eickhorn examples, but every other ( early ) don't have that. I know that logo is a bit faded, but rzm code looks untouched. What do you think ? Regards

All good. Just an honest, last run production HJ dagger. John Z I think has a 42’.

Carl Eickhorn Solingen has start to put stamp number of production on HJ knife from 1938 to 1942. (Transition and later production era.)
Producer logo is faded due scabbard springs.

I know of and have 3 41 dated HJ knives by Eickhorn:
        41 only
        41 with RZM code
41 transitional with seated squirrel and RZM code

I also have 3 42 dated HJ knives:
42 transitional with seated squirrel and RZM
42 transitional with over shoulder squirrel and RZM
        42 RZM code only

Praise yourself happy that your Eickhorn 41 HJ-knife still shows the original cross grain!
Most have been buffed to get the age spots (near the tip) away, removing all the cross grain in the process.
          A very nice score!

          Best regards,

          Victorman

Always a pleasure to see some great HJ-knife variants from your most impressive Eickhorn collection, John!
