    My SA M7/83

    Hello there,

I just took my one and only SA dagger outside to make some pictures.
And what is nicer than being able to show them to others?

It is marked M7/83 so made by Pluemacher Sohn.
    Is this a common makersmark?

Any further input is welcome ofcourse!
    Hope you like it,

The lines running in the length of the blade are whipe marks in the oil protecting the blade.
        Blade has been polished though..........

Nice dagger...looks to be all there and the RZM-marked hanger really sets it off.

                        Hello Tobau,

Yes the the crossguards are made of Nickel I think that´s why they still are in a nice shape.
I assume these were old stock used in a later period....as the blade is rzm marked?

                          Hello neighbour eric ,

is it possible that the crossguards later added to this example ? May be the belonged zink-crossguards are high oxyded .
                          Regards.

                            Here Eric calling neighbour......

As far as I can see everything fits very nicely, the crossguards to the blade as seen in picture 3 as well as the crossguard to the upper scabbard fittings........
Me not know what´s been done in the past but I guess it´s always been this way
                            All the best, Eric

looks like a possible restoration. blade and crossguards are polished, the paint on the scabbard should be more worn if original. Compare blade=scabbard=crossguards not the same condition. Could the eagle be repalced too? Looks like its higher than the wood.
