Navy blade question???

Hi, was WKC the only maker of the unmarked plain blade on the naval daggers? I picked one up at an estate sale years ago with a white handle in a hammered scabbard but the blade is bad and it is unmarked & not etched. Any info would be appreciated, DEL

Del, I've only seen plain blade WKC's, but I don't know if they were the only maker who sold plain examples. Strangely enough, the plain blade is probably the rarest of the Kriegs series.

I have a WKC and a no maker unetched blade navies in my collection. I recently sold a plain blade Paul Weyersberg. I have also seen Alcoso, Eickhorn and P. D. Luneschloss plain blade examples in the past. There may have been on or two others but they don't come to mind at the moment.

Plain or unetched blades are scarcer than the etched ones and usually are priced less than the more common etched blade varieties. Go figure.

Just some thoughts.

Thanks for your replies. I am looking for an unmarked plain blade to replace the one on my navy dagger that is bad. I tried Johnsons but he didn't have one. If you guys happen to know of any, please let me know. Thanks, DEL
