    Eickhorn Catalog

Today I was offered an Eickhorn catalog from WWII it looked like a binder and had lots of neat pics of daggers and swords. Also alot of pull outs with different etchings on the blades. It was neat to see the prices of things back then too! It looked like all branches were represented except the SS. My question is are these rare? Also what is the value on these?
    thanks

    Hello,
They are'nt real rare but tough to find in exc+ condition, usually the rivits are pulled loose from the cover(rust). There are 2 different colors on the cover one being brown and the other orange. As for value an original in exc++ usually goes for 300-350.00, this has been reproduced so make sure it's original if you buy it. Hopes this helps.

They are available with an orange linen cover featuring the 1935-1941 Eickhorn squirrel-holding-sword TM and in brown linen with the post-1941 over-the-shoulder TM. The earlier one is worth $25.00 - $50.00 more depending, as Chris noted, on condition.

Ok thanks guys this one was the orange cover and like chris stated this one had the rivets rusted out of it. It was rough.
        thanks

According to Wittmann's book, Blade Catalogs were not allowed to advertise SS Daggers. They could only be purchased after all requirments were met through the SS.

Well, the SS dagger is in the Eickhorn catalog, but it's stated, in a nutshell, that it's verboten to order it outside official channels. This is from memory - I don't recall exactly what is said, but it's something like that.
