The Metox is a pretty rare receiver, It was introduced in the summer of 1942, used as a stop gap measure until the Samos and Fanö receivers came into use later that summer. by the end of that year the allies had switched to cm-wave radar so it became useless. The Germans thought that the receiver itself radiated IF radiation which was used by the allies and banned the use of the Metox receiver in July 1943. I only know of one surviver in a collection in the Netherlands.
