    German radio Deckel Rundfunkempfanger

    Hello forummembers,

I have found this wooden German radio lid for a Rundfunkempfanger.
Unfortuanatly is it in a bit rough condition but it is one.
Can someone give me some more info on the radio it belonged to and what the meaning is of the tekst on top ''WR1/P(Mar.)'' ?

    Greetings from Holland

It is for a " recreational" receiver. i.e broadcast receiver as opposed to communication receiver.

This is a lid from the Wehrmacht Rundfunkempfänger WR1 nickname "Rudi".
There were two basic version of them - with different tubes. Old Telefunken metal tube version was marked WR1/T, version with newer Philips glass tubes was marked WR1/P. Beside that, there was also special version for kriegsmarine, that "(Mar)" means exactly that this was special kriegsmarine version.
