This is my friend's treasure. An Lo6K39a Kriegsmarine receiver. Fully restored over a several year period with original components. It is trully a pleasure to listen through it with its unique sound. The display lights up with an amber back-light that is trully awesome:

My first impression of it was "This is a scary-looking machine".
Take a look at the vacuum tube voltage meter. It can be switched to test every tube in the receiver:Attached FilesLast edited by Yuri D.; 04-25-2012, 09:01 AM.

Hallo Yuri,
In the middle of the radio there is a space where your friend put a B&W photo.
What should really be there ?
I guess it was not design to put the pic of one's sweety fraulein
Also do you know of any source for one of those Lorenz oval badge (real or replica).
I also read on a Web site Also used in the desert by the "AFRICA CORPS" of Rommel. This because of it's frequency covering was better for listning to the enemy transmissions at long distance.
Is that true ?
thanks for any info .
Cherioooooo,
y
