    WW2 "2vbm" uhf transmitter/receiver

Would anyone have information on the Lafayette Transceptor made by Lafeyette Radio Corp in NY during WW2. It operated on freq of appx 214 Mhz with pwr output of appx 2W. I found picture of it and description in the section of allied agent equipment from the 1943 Orpo (Ordnungspolizei) publication Die Funkpeilung der kurzen Wellen im Nahhfeld (Shortwave Radio Direction Finding in the Nearfield). I couldn't find any info on the internet about this tx/rx . Was it used by OSS or SOE, what was it's connection with Norway, and the significance of the designation 2VBM (callsign of designer?????)

    Thanks
