This is an early Luftwaffe radio receiver, used in airplanes. Pre-war design.Part of the FUG III system. The transmitter was a S3 70 W 300-600 kHz.
Many were used during the war and survived !

Thee radios were also used in Kriegsmarine, in " flying boats "- not sure what the English word is ! hi
