Signals and communications books and publications etc

I think there is a growing interest in this area of collecting so i thought it would be useful to have a list of books etc that could help repairers and collectors alike

Heres a few that i have gathered
Radio equipment of the wehrmacht by charles barger
The radar war david by pritchard
Les materiels de la wehrmacht by pierre metsu (French and english)
just managed to get hold of a copy of wireless for wehrmacht!
i also have 3 period books and hdv manuals cant find them at the moment

please feel free to add to this list I'll get photos up in a bit.

      Hi Yuri

      Thanks for a great resource!

I have only got a Dorette & a Torn Eb & found "LES MATÉRIELS RADIO DE LA WEHRMACHT" a bit disappointing from the perspective of those 2 radio's but none the less there is a lot of info in this book. "Wireless for the Wehrmacht" is a good standby too, & that also graces my library. Having a hunt around the internet today I have found a copy of "Radio Equipment of Third Reich 1933-1945" for $50 so am looking forward to that arriving soon.

I suspect there is a lot of latent interest in the area of radios & communications in general (including both optic & telephone as well) but the lack of good resource material stops collectors getting into the field.

      Keep up the good work!

      Best,.>Rob

As I can read German, I am prepared to part with two books in English not needed to a deserving party:

Airborn Electronic Equipment of the GAF ( HEAVY )

Directory of German Radar Equipmetn ( TM E11-219 War department Technicval manual)

        Both are postwar reprints.

          Hi All

My copy of "Radio Equipment of Third Reich 1933-1945" arrived & this is the best reference book I have seen to date. Some chapters are complete reprints of US Signals information & is complete rather than the odd excerpt. Excellent!

          Best,.>Robert
