a typical fieldphone will run with 3 volts ( get two 1.5 volt D batterys pop them in series and hook them up...

I thought only one D cell was required for the feldphone. Can anyone confirm this?

1 D cell will work, although it will be weak, I Use 2 in my phones when i set them up for reeancting events, and we often have cableing running over 3-400 meters.

I can show pics how it is set up

                            Hello,
I bought second example of German field phone 33 – in better condition and cheaper than first
But I have doubts – as you see this one hasn’t plate with letter code. The connector of earphone is metal not bakelite. On connector and phone are date: 1938.

                            Is it original example?

And my second question is – how to connect both phones? Because I imagine to set up small phone network on reenacting event of my group in June.

                            Thanks in advance
                            Best regards

                              Hi,
Your phone looks to be an original example. To use it with another phone simply wire up the battery's to both phones and then run cable from the terminals on the top from one phone to the other. That should do it. I have about 30 of these phones as well as the ob33 desk phones. When you have your 2 phones working then contact me and I might be able to find you a 10 line exchange if you want to buy one. Of coarse you can add more and more phones to the system then.
