    Wehrmacht 5 Watt transmitter

    Goodevening Gentlemen

I would appreciate your opinions and thoughts on this 5 Watt sender.

    Restored , repainted ???

F.e. " Feind hört mit " should this not be a shield attached (screwed ) to the radio and not directly painted on the radio ?

Any (positive) comments are very welcome.

    Anyway thanks.

    Best

Although it has an intersting mix of early and late war features, it looks to be 100% original. The 5 W.S. was generally not fitted with a rivited "Feind hört mit!" shield, so sometimes they applied it as a decal. I would expect the type plate to say 5 W.S.b or 5 W.S.c but there you go...

      Hi Funksammler

Once again many thanks to you for your reaction on another post of mine.

So it seems that's better to continue my search for a "better" and a more genuine one.

It's all good, my remarks on some of the features do not mean they are not original, it is probably just a variation of a particular manufacturer I suspect. It is even possible that this is a prewar example, returned to the factory to be refurbished and upgraded to 5 W.S.c specification. What is the year on the date plate?

        regards,

Altough I don't have any further photos are documentation the seller has added in his explanation : " Feind hört mit " dated 1943.
