    Diplomatic Visor!

Hallo, here in WAF was a thread ongoing with a diplomatic visor with the wrong eagle attached etc, now it's on Ratisbons auctions, exactly the same visor with the now correct eagle sewn to it. Lot 0167 on Ratisbons. This is just FYI

Yeah, I check it on Ratisbons seeing the eagle was not originally applied but didn't know it was exposed here before. Thanks for remember it!

This is a practise, everyday more and more common...We must be very careful!

The Ratisbons photos reveal other issues than just a replaced eagle....

If memory serves, that’s Kurt’s old cap

Already informed them of the replaced eagle. Wasn't omitted intentionally, I simply bought this cap from Kurt quite a number of years back and didn't recollect the cap being sold to me with a replaced eagle. I know well enough how many good sleuths we have here that I would never omit that.

Well, looks like I better add my name to the "How much did you loose on a fake" thread. I can't believe I missed the two characteristics that make a bad cap. That 5k loss will never be forgotten. I can't blame Kurt as I know he didn't sell a fake intentionally, but it hurts regardless

                    Memory does serve you right!

I would be very curious to learn where the issues with this visor are supposed to be (besides the replaced eagle that doesn't match the condition of the rest of the visor).

So much for open dialog and analysis.

Were this Congress perhaps there would be discussion of not discussing "sources &
                        methods"... Christ.

Not my rules Rick. Do you really want the fakers to know what to omit in order to bypass the screeners? On the flip side of that argument, This thread wouldn't exist if Kurt and I knew what to look for from the get go

With respect Sir ~ spare me the fakers will learn how to fake stuff story. I think they've been doing a swell job for years. That said, if you (and others) don't want to share any actionable intelligence with the "fakers" then we should just shut down this and every other forum.

here are photos which supposedly doomed my cap. I only say supposedly, because I believe these are the only three areas that rose a red flag. I suppose there could be a logical explanation if the only issue was the piping, but clearly if the cut of the lining is incorrect, then everything else is a moot point
