Police Officer M43 Opinions Please

Can i get some opinions on this Police Officer M43. I am bad enough on issue wool enlisted M43's, but when it comes to Officer private purchase ones then I don't have a clue, they all make me nervous. The badge was a later add on, so I'd say it needs swapping out with a 2nd pattern badge.
If it is original it is one I'd maybe like to add to my collection, so please can I get some opinions .

The minimal outer wear doesn't seem consistent with the wear of the lining. I'm convinced and would rather do without it.
