SS Panzer M43 Repop?

Picked up this hat at a thrift shop for $20.00 anyone ever seen a repop like this? It's made of quality black heavy wool. I just find it very interesting with the leather sweat shield and leather liner. I never seen one like this before, & I'm sure they didn't exist with leather sweat shield?
