      A similar "prong" notion exists about shoulder strap and shoulder board applied metal devices. If the prongs do not go all the way through the boards/straps then the insignia MUST have been applied before the board/strap was completed. Really.

        As already stated, that is a wonderful visor with the early and original insignia. I have 2 visors with the early insignia and I am of the belief that the best handcrafted headwear came from the 1933- 1938 era; specifically the exteriors due to the materials on hand. The interiors of visors became better 1936- 1941, IMO.

        Not sure on the maker of your visor.
