Wow, Lionel!!
That crusher is beautiful, even if it is without identification.

That last group posted... Another wow!! Now you're just trying to make me jealous. (Just kidding)
It's great as well that you were able to have personal interaction with so many of these veterans.

      Keep it up my friend!

Another Group that I was happy to get without Intermediates back in 2005. Carl-Wilhelm Müller was a Beobachter in Nahaufklärungs-Staffel 3.(H.)11. He came from Heer, stayed in the LW until 1944 and came back to the Army 1944 ! (Funny is he is wearing a WH-Uniform both on Fliegerausweis und "Beobachterschein"..... and a Photo in LW-Uniform in his WH-SB re-opened 1944 !!). Here is the most important part of the Group.... Comes with 3 Visors, 2xLW and one Heer !!

Here is one Pic taken at the Witebsk Airport on 11.04.1944. He is wearing the salty / heavily worn Cap shawn in details thereafter.
The highest Award from CWM was the Honour Goblet attributed Nov.1st 1943

The luftwaffe crusher is awesome. It tells a story all by itself, only the best visors can do that.J

Hi Brian. None extraordinary Piece there, the Point it just that it belonged to the same Officer. I also got his awards documents, some good photos from him, comrades, his Machines, and even a big pack of Aerial-Maps, some of them commented, and a big bunch of Books, some period prints in it. None Award, as somebody in the Family wanted to keep them. Those pictured on the Tunic are not from CWM, but they are all put in Place in the original "Hooks" of the Uniform. The Dagger is really a fine and high Quality one. Like Germans are saying, the Group "macht echt Spass" ;-)

Hi Jacques. Thanks. Is it really a Crusher like you Guys definite them ? It has a smooth leather Visor, but for the Rest, it looks more like a Classical "Schirmmütze".

To be honest, I was convinced that a "Crusher" or "alter Art" can only designate Heeres-Visor like the Pionier I have shown before....

Mi-80, this origin was a "non-Event" and didn't increased the price in any Way. Nowadays, I don't buy such Stories anymore.... ;-)
Yes, but when the piece is a one-looker beauty like your crusher, there is no reason to doubt the story. It is only when the item is spurious that you have to raise an eyebrow and walk away.

Some very nice stuff on this thread.

Thank you ! you are perfectly right, but nowadays, some Collectors are more buying Stories (buying Dreams) than buying Stuff.
I could tell you some good Stories from original Stuff bought in US Show and sold in Normandy Farms 30% more than their actual Value....

Congrats on compiling a magnificent collection.

I have the twin brother of cap #1 but still with its crown spring and another impressed retailer marking, Fr Fehling, Hameln.

Here are the Pics from the 2nd Visor from CWM, the markings are "Ce-har Prima - Verkaufs-Abteilung der Luftwaffe Berlin SW 68 Puttkamerstr.16-18". I think this one was kept for all duties outside the Front, mint Condition...

A very nice Carl Halfar sold through the LW Kleiderkasse of Berlin, Puttkamerstrasse.

It shows all the main traits of his output:
                            - the heavy padding of the front
                            - the blue-gray silk lining with the correct logo
                            - the reed attachment of the sweatband and the orange sponge inside its front part
                            - the size tag in the backside

Just as a curiosity, Herr Carl changed his Berlin own address in 1938 from Quitzowstrasse to Prinzenallee.

                            Best regards

Tks Enorepap for the Identification of the Hersteller, and all given Details... Wow... One guess how many love and Hours of studies it needs to list all the particular details of each Maker ! Hut ab zum Gebet ! ;-)
