Nice CW visor you have in outstanding conditions ! I like specially the oilcloth spring-removal tag: vor dem tragen ziehe man an diesem band den lager-buegel heraus! Die form bleibt wetterfest! = before wearing pulling on this tape the bearing bracket out! The form remains weatherproof!

Clemens Wagner was one of the main german mutzenfabrik. This is their address from the 1940 Braunschweig adressbuch:

I like a lot also the third (recon) and fourth (medic) visors

Thank you Guys, very appreciated ;-) One more that I get directly from a Family 12 Years ago, within an extensive Group. This Oblt became the german Cross on March, 30th 1945. This is only a classical Infantry one, but it has IMO a nice and intersting Form... Both the Tunic and Visor can be easily recognized on the black§white Portrait of the Officer. His initials are "engraved" in the Leather. The Visor had once a Mark in it, that I was not able to picture, it is only to be seen while playing with the daylight.... 2 3eichenlaub + Mention "Deutsche Facharbeit". Does it match with a Particular Maker ??

          Hello 708VGD,
Wow! This infantry officer grouping is really wonderful! The cap maker is a rather generic maker, I believe. I agree with you that the cap has a lovely shape to it. I really like the completeness of this grouping with the tunic, documents and photos. I would love to see more pictures of this group!
          Thank you and best wishes,
          Curtiss

These are wonderful groupings. As ever, it's great to see items that can be linked to specific individuals.

Now my one and only Crusher. No Name for this one, and poor condition. I bought it mid 1980 by a local Collector here. According to him, it was found in an abandoned german Vehicle during the Battle in the Suburbs of LUNEVILLE (Eastern France, Lorraine) in sept.1944. Mi-80, this origin was a "non-Event" and didn't increased the price in any Way. Nowadays, I don't buy such Stories anymore.... ;-)

                              Lionel:

Your exquisite taste and ability to acquire named groups is well-known. We see it so often in the threads you offer.

So, these caps are extraordinary...particularly the DKiG holder cap and group because one can easily verify that this is the same cap in the photo.

Collecting does not get any better than this.

Hi Scott ! Such a nice Appreciation coming from the Author of such excellent Books - especially the incredible Quality of articles and Details shown - is an Honour for me. Thank you !
Another Visor - a simple Artillery one - but with more Sense considering the Personnality of it's original Owner, Lt Georg Gedamke, Stug.Abt.210 and Heeres-Stug.Brig 393 where he received the German Cross on Nov.23rd 1944 (also ASA "50"). He proudly served in the Bundewehr until he retreated with the Rank of Lt.-Colonel.

I met him several Times with his lovely Wife. He was a fantastic Personnality, really. Talking "ungern" from himself, mainly from Comrades, officers and Soldiers, especially those who never came back.
That gives for sure his Visor, his Uniforms, and even all the Fieldpost-Letters he wrote to his Parents througout the War, a particular Significance for me.
Some partial Views of the Group... Both Visor and Tunic can be easily recognized on the original Pic from 1944.
