You will find period photographs of all types of eagles being worn with the black-top--just a matter of what was available at the time.

image can not support it does not prove. So the eagle is reattached. the eagle is so not right. there are exceptions . but as an evidence photo is needed.

this configuration is quite rare. lining very common for 36 insignia but have pre 36 ones.

of course it's more rare to find a 33/34 visor.
