    General's visor

I think that this visor deserves a thorough discussion, given its importance ... and its price:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=856986

    From shot n. 2:

An over stitching of the edge of the sweatband ?

Im not comfortable with this piece not a visor I would purchase, interior looks incorrect.

Its got a Janke feel to it.

Unfortunately at this point it's all conjecture and hyperbole until someone can specify beyond a shadow of a doubt that this mans visor is junk b4 trashing his visor. Comments like "meh, I just don't like it" don't cut the mustard.

So, what's the judgment of the "experts"? Is it merely a question of unusual stitching of the sweatband? Are there other problems with it? FMS-Paul suggests it could be a Janke reproduction; if so, what is there about it that has "the feel of a Janke"?

Homer, there aren't enough detailed photos to make a good judgment call on this visor, in my opinion (and I am not claiming to be an expert). The odd stitching is the only thing that jumps out at me based on the photos provided.

Basically, there a quite a few erel general frankensteins in circulation and this is most likely one of them. The odd stitching is just not correct, plain and simple and casts doubt on the rest but without detailed pics, it's just an educated guess at present.

Thanks, Ben. That clarifies it for me very well.
