Because at that stage of the war that was the front. The germans were retreating. J

koivari--who was selling this, and what was he asking for it?

Also, was he selling it as Panzergrenadier or Jaeger?

                          Hi koivari

I must first say that I do not like this visor, but I will not in any way anticipate the conclusions which could be reached by a fruitful and collective conversation.

Here, as always, there are a lot of things to discuss. We're not talking about a Boy Scouts' visor. Therefore, as Ben says, please, involved you a little more and let us see some very detailed images. You see for yourself that a visor allegedly belonging to the SS gebirgsjaeger can not be evaluated on the base of four amateurish photos taken from afar. Here, we need to establish the authenticity of the frontal badges, fabric and chinstrap; to carefully study the inside of the lining and of the capboard; the exact color of the pipings' waffenfarbe and of the band; etc. It seems to be a late-war Erel but, as Billbert noted, even the sweatshield is reversed. Consequently, you will certainly agree that (as if it was a true one, it would require a very high price), it definitely requires an equally thorough analysis.

                          Marcello

Is it me, or has there been a habit of late of posting an item for comment/authenticity, and then walking away from the post w/o answering questions, or even the simple courtesy of a thank-you?
