White top navy visor for discussion

Any thoughts on the originality of this visor? It's on a well known site and has been for several years. The sweatband is embossed with the name and logo of the
Armeemarinehaus ,Berlin. Has a removable white top.
Thanks in advance for your input. Mike

              Mike--
Hat looks ok from the pics. I would recommend asking for under the hood pics just to be sure.

This one has been on that site for years, due primarily to the price (which I consider to be stratospheric, even by 2007 standards).

They claim it is a pre-1936 officer, but no way to be sure--it could also just be that an NCO wanted a high-quality cap.

White top is more LW than Kriegsmarine and I don't like the visor or the hat.

                  White top navy

Thank you Stonemint for your input. I guess it could be an nco visor, of higher quality, or a pre 1936 officer example, one will never know at this point. . An under the sweatband view will be relative as far as what exactly? Perhaps a resewn visor, or something else? I'm sorry for asking basic questions, as I'm just trying to learn the ins and outs of visor hats as found in the kriegsmarine.

                    White top mavy

Luftwaffe due to the waffle pattern?
I guess nothing can substitute for a hands on look. I really do appreciate the comments, and thanks again for the time taken to look and respond.

Should there be the orange colored sponge material under the sweatband where the perforations are?

I took a wild guess as to who the seller might be, and, lo & behold I was right!
Only $ 4,350 for this cap, wonder why it's still for sale?

If only the price was indicative of the 2016 economy and current market.

Agree with stonemint, IMO form pictures is a very nice and original cap. IMO this kind of white tops were also used by the KM, my white topped officer cap came with the original hatbox and three tops, a blue one and two white, one of them like the one showed here.

I have been looking for this one for a while, but even in the years with the best euro-dollar exchange rate it was very overpriced for me.
