M34 cap: infantry or other?

Hi - I need help identifying this cap's soutache. Is it infantry or transportation (or something else)? I'll post several pictures.

The light blue would be for transport but it normally would not wash out that bad with a factory coloring. It may have been Infantry white and was dyed by the soldier or by someone after the War etc. Hard to say when it was done, white was dyed to other colors during the war for use by other branches etc.

From the photos I would say transport that has faded...Nice hat.
