Shocking, yes, I know. Item # 171819137727, a Luftwaffe flight/para visor cao, appears fake to me.
Marked Pekuro, but no other wording, no velvet lining around sweatband, and peak underside looks incorrect.

I have an original officers named Pekuro and this has all the faults you listed plus the fabric is strange. The inside rank and unit marking for owner is also incorrect.

Mine is an early, very dark gray with bullion insignia, bad news is the bill came off somehow before I got it. Do you know of anyone that does good restoration work? I was going to attempt resewing, but rather leave it to a professional, or someone that knows what they are doing. I have the original bill.
